Thanks Kiril for the great work. I was so enamoured with the Ribbon I only just got to look at your breadcrumb. That looks like something that will be a great help instead.

javaMan – i see 46Mb for the Substance-powered ribbon demo. If i run the simple empty JFrame (no Flamingo, no Substance), it already is 22Mb – so this is coming from the JVM itself. I would consider extra 24Mb to be an acceptable price for using the Flamingo ribbon + Substance look-and-feel. If this is too much memory consumption for your needs, perhaps ribbon in its current state does not fit them.

James – please see the main Flamingo project page and the stated project goal. Flamingo is not a general component suite, and the Miller Columns will not be part of it in the foreseeable future.
